School-Based Therapy

School-Based Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech-Language Pathology Services

What is School-Based Therapy?

School-based OT, PT, and SLP services are related services that support students’ ability to access, participate in, and make progress in their educational programs. Delivered within the school environment, these services address barriers that may impact learning, communication, mobility, and functional independence. Occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech-language pathologists work to enhance academic participation, social engagement, communication skills, motor development, and self-regulation, helping students succeed in the classroom and throughout the school day.
