Arcadia University Physical Therapy Students Partner with Austill’s to Promote Physical Activity

Arcadia University’s Physical Therapy students, in collaboration with Austill’s, have developed a series of engaging videos to help families incorporate more physical activity into their daily lives. The videos are designed for various age groups, including preschoolers, school-aged children, adolescents, and children with disabilities, ensuring accessibility for all.

According to the World Health Organization, nearly 80% of adolescents worldwide do not meet the recommended daily physical activity levels, highlighting the urgent need to encourage movement at all stages of life. Physical activity not only supports healthy development but also reduces the risk of chronic conditions like obesity, heart disease, and musculoskeletal disorders. In addition to benefiting overall child development, physical activity is especially crucial for children with disabilities, enhancing their health, mobility, and quality of life. It helps maintain a healthy weight, supports cardiovascular health, strengthens muscles, improving coordination, balance, and flexibility.

We are proud to collaborate with future physical therapists to champion the importance of movement and education, fostering a healthier future for all children!
